Spike Shooter Energy Drink

Unfortunately, this one may be a bit over the top. 7-11 has even pulled this stuff off the shelves, but I was still able to get my hands on a few of them at GNC. They have about the same amount of caffeine as 3 Starbucks coffees all packed into a can.

Spike Shooter Tastes…Predictable

Well, it seems like there is a fairly predictable taste for all of these drinks lately. They all seem to taste very synthetic. I get this weird, “I shouldn’t be drinking this stuff – it can’t be good for me” feeling every time I pour one of these synthetic concoctions down my throat. They don’t taste remotely natural. Before drinking Spike, I thought it might be a little thicker – kinda gummy. It wasn’t. In fact, it was very “thin” tasting (as opposed to Redline – which tastes a little denser).

The Spike Energy Rush

This stuff was on par with Redline, but (for me) I didn’t enjoy the feeling as much as a Redline. Redline is still the king in my mind. This just felt jittery like a mega jolt of caffeine (cuz it is!) and I wasn’t as productive as I am on a tank of Redline.

So, typically my new year’s resolution is to start the year off with some sort of diet. In recent years, I’ve tried them all – the Atkins revolution, the South Beach Diet, the all banana diet, the porn star diet, the beans and rice diet, the zen buddha diet, the cannibal diet (okay, maybe not that one). My point is – I’ve tried a lot of diets. I’ve also quit a lot diets because they just don’t seem to work. I lose enthusiasm.

The way to lose is weight is to increase output and decrease input. Simple, but easier said than done. Luckily, I found Wuyi tea which is a great way to accomplish both. The tea curbs my appetite so that I don’t find myself dieting and starving myself. It happens naturally. I also get a nice energy kick from the tea. It doesn’t make me jittery or cause my heart to flutter the way some of the other fad items do.

I can’t speak for you, but for me traditional diets just haven’t done the trick. Moreover, I feel like I’m doing something unhealthy – rather than healthy – whenever I embark on a diet. Check out Wuyi tea – it’s inexpensive and may just be the trick you need to shed a couple of those unwanted inches before it is time to take your shirt off at the beach.

Best of luck.

Wise Man Say, “Drink Wuyi before it drinks you.”

This is my first energy drink review. I love energy drinks, pills, shakes, capsules, powders, inhalants, injections, etc. I’ve decided to incorporate a 3-point test as well as an overall discussion. The test will measure: (1) taste, (2) warning label – scarier the better, and (3) programmability – a proprietary measurement that calculates how much work can be done under the influence of said energy supplement.Energy drinks are crucial when pulling all-nighters trying to get a project done. However, you don’t want to get the jitters or get spaced out. Performance is everything. Redline doesn’t disappoint – however, despite the scary warning shown below, it is not as strong as they make it out.

I was scoping out the wide variety of drinks at the gas station, when the attendant proudly announced, “WE CAN’T EVEN SELL THAT ONE TO KIDS!”

He had me. I purchased a RedLine with great enthusiasm. I’ve found that energy supplements seem to work best for me when I abuse them. (Please do not try this at home.) Despite warnings I usually combine them with massive amounts of coffee. Sometimes this works. Despite warnings to the contrary, this worked well with Redline. I’ll give it 4 STARS overall.

It had a nice full body, a pleasing color of FD&C #5 combined with Red #3 (didn’t glow in dark) and the slightest hint of 5-HTP and Vinpocetene. The aroma was faint and fruity with wisps of Green Tea and Yerbamate. Add some proprietary Evoburn to this (Evodiamine) and – Voila! You have Redline.

Taste – 4 stars

Warning – 5 stars

Programmability – 4 stars

The Warning Label on Redline states the following:

RECOMMENDED USE: Shake well prior to use. Always begin use with one-half can (4oz.) of REDLINE daily to assess tolerance. Never exceed more than one can daily. Do not consume REDLINE on an empty stomach. Consuming REDLINE on an empty stomach may cause nausea.

Do not exceed recommended serving. Exceeding recommended serving may cause adverse health effects.
