One of the coolest aspects about working in technology (actually, life in general) is that you meet some very interesting people. I worked with Harry Kimura about 4 years ago and haven’t talked to him since. I wish I kept in touch with him. I thought of him today when I was watching Godzilla videos with my son on YouTube.
Harry and I worked at a large brokerage together in San Diego in the technology department. Harry had a reputation as being an outstanding programmer. Like most interesting people, the initial impression – of Harry being a quiet, very smart asian person – was wrong (well, he was asian).
Harry was also a four time world tattoo champion. He was/is also a LEGEND in car audio – a legend by the time he was only thirty years old. If you know anything about car audio, you’ll know that his first car is one of six cars that are still regarded as the standard by which all other cars are judged. I found this image for Harry:
Rock on Harry!
