I went to the San Diego Vista/Office 2007 today…..
When Windows XP came out, Microshaft made you feel like you HAD TO HAVE IT. . .? like you were putting your life at risk without it. You could never surf the web safely with anything but XP!
Security sells. I bought XP and never looked back.
Vista looks really cool, but I came away without a single compelling reason to upgrade?
I went there with every intention of stopping at Fry’s on the way home and getting an entirely new PC. Instead, I decided to save the money for something else…..anything else……a lifetime supply of fish tacos.
Here is one very odd note: In four total hours in the “Executive” track (as opposed to the arguably cooler, “Developer” track), the word “WEB” was never mentioned? Think about that? That had to be intentional from the very highest levels. Try to speak about computers for four hours and never say, “WEB.” (I bet you can’t.)
Wise Many Say, “Why buy Vista, when Vista right next door?”
